Chess Club is held every Saturday at The Summerside Rotary Library (57 Central St.), from 4pm-5pm, downstairs in the ADL Room.
The Summerside Chess Club began in 2007 but was reborn in 2022. The difference is that the chess club is now only for children and youth ages 4 - 17.

From 2009 - 2016, chess club was held at Trinity United Church, in Summerside.
Like the original chess club (2007 - 2009), the club at Trinity attracted children, youth, and adults.

The original chess club was founded by Alex Davies in 2007, and was intended for children, youth, and adults.... though the focus was always on children's chess. The club was held in the upper room (2nd floor) at the original Summerside Rotary Library.

Homeschool Chess Club click was created to give children who are homeschooled the chance to get out of the house, and pursue the academic goal of playing chess!
Unfortunately, the Homeschool Chess Club was discontinued in the summer of 2023.
